Headless Marie Antoinette Costume
Best reaction to my costume while handing out candy:
“She started getting lippy and wouldn’t do the dishes” – guy explaining my costume to his little girls
Here’s my costume – Pretty creepy I think. This was a whole lota fun, people were totally scared of me.
Keep scrolling down for the HOW TO.
If anyone else is a Halloween Overachiever, let me know what you pulled off this year.

well, well,
I’m glad i could help you with the detailing of those cold dead nipples. We’ll have to this kind of thing more often. The best was watching all the f**ktards trying to cop a feel. i think they thought that you couldn’t see cause your head was cut off. Anyway, fun weekend, time to lay off the booze for a little while, getting those sweats, ya know?

You’re disgusting . You know what you should be for Halloween? A Dirt Bag. Like a literal Dirt Bag, with dirt all over. That would suit you

i loved the toxic waste.
i also loved the way people did the after stare after you walked by with their mouths totally open in disbelief.

Caught you on Make and Gizmodo. Great freaking costume! I love it when creative people do cool things like this.
Also, nice work on remodeling your kitchen. You have got me to thinkin’ about what I can do to mine when the time comes.

fabulous costume. i thought of doing a Marie Antoinnette 2 years ago, bought all the supplies, but didn’t have the time to sew the dress, so i stored it away for a rainy day. my friend emailed me the link to your page a few weeks ago, and i was so impressed i whipped out my pattern and material and began sewing. my original thought was just to have a gashed neck, but yours looks so amazing and creative that i thought i’d try it your way. the dress took about 40 hours to make (not the best seamstress, mind you), and it looks great. i’m having the worst time, though, trying to get that damn bust to work out. first the clay cracked completely, then the bust was too large for the dress, then the plaster of paris cracked, and now, when i thought i was there, i realized the bust was too small. going to try to paper mache it tonight to get it to fit right. i’ll send you a pic when it’s done though. (my total budget to date is around $200, but i would do it again in a heartbeat.) oh, and the i totally get the obsessive thing. i’m even dreaming about this stuff!
