Yay! So fun

I loved Labyrinth when I was a kid, And I absolutely loved David Bowie as the Goblin King. So when I saw this guy I was right in there. So awesome.

We had a great time at the Pyramid on Saturday. Almost everyone was out and there was a lot of wicked costumes. My only gripe was that there was no costume contest.
I'm wearing an office version of my costume at work right now. I couldn't pull off the dress here, and besides there's only 6 people dressed up. We're having a little contest here, but the 6 of us are going to split the money.

Best art project ever.

I have just completed the fabrication of my She-Ra headpiece. Its fucking awesome! Let me explain to you in great detail how this was accomplished.

  • Step 1

  • Make a clay model of desired end result.

  • Step 2

  • Pour thick plaster of Paris of Ploy-filla over model. You can try and contain the mix like I did, but if your mix is thick enough you might not need it.

  • Step 3

  • Once plaster has hardened, you can remove the clay. This pretty much destroys your original model, so dont screw up the plaster part.

  • Step 4

  • I used a flex foam called Flex-Foam-IT X from Smooth On. I got it from a shop that makes fake limbs. It start as a liquid, which make sit easy to pour and it expands to 6 times the original volume.

  • Step 5

  • Voila, after it’s cured, remove from plaster cast.

  • Finished

  • Now i have to paint it gold. I won’t use spray paint because it propabably wont set. So i’ll look for an arcylic.

She-RA Princess of Power!

Sweet. Andy and I will be He-Man and She-Ra for HAlloween this year. We are already majorly obsessed with perfecting these costumes. She-Ra’s outfit is fairly complicated, and I want it too be really good. The headpiece is the first challange because it’s the dopest part. I’ve started work on it and will include photos of my technique. Let’s just say that maybe the FineARts degreee will c0me in handy (finally). I purchased fabric for He-man’s furry loin cloth, and gold vinal for She-ra’s many golden accesories. I’m just not sure what to do about the boots. I might go down to Shoe Net (stripper shoe store downtown) to see how much sluty boots are.
